The new football coach of Rudeš, Robert Prosinečki, said today at the presentation in the premises of the new Croatian first league team that he believes they can be a stable team, perhaps even a "championship hit".
As reported by the Hina agency, it was a press conference that brought "a touch of romance" and reminded of the days when football was just a "game". The neighborhood club, a small room in which the leaders of the club and the numerous press teams that arrived for Prosinečki could barely fit, Hina said.
"This is Rudeš, our little humble home. We have already won, returning Prosinečki to HNL is a victory. I believe that together we can create a small miracle," said club director Stipe Čondrić.
By signing for Rudeš, Prosinečki will work for the first time in his career in a Croatian club after managing Crvena zvezda, Kayserispor, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denizlispor and Olimpija Ljubljana.
"I am honored to have come here. Both because of friendship, but also because of the vision this club has. I believe we can be a stable first division player, maybe even a hit in the championship," said Prosinečki, who will have Rudeš's first job after a nine-month break.
Prosinečki is aware that the team will have to strengthen for the strongest Croatian league.
"We already have interesting and interesting players, but we will have to step up. I am sure that the players will recognize Rudeš as a serious story," said Prosinečki.
"I am well acquainted with the strength of the HNL and the players. I had time, so I followed our football carefully. We have a lot of work ahead of us," he added.
He emphasized that he hopes Rudeš will play in his stadium in the future.
"I hope that people from the city and the federation will recognize that," said Prosinečki.
The club's sports director Silvio Marić stated that "Robi's arrival in Rudeš is a big deal not only for the club, but also for Croatian football".
"We will try to fulfill all the wishes of the coach, of course, according to our capabilities. I believe that we will put together a serious team," said Marić.
