With the triumph of the Golden Ball, in the Regional League - Center, the competition season of the Football Association of Montenegro ended.
In the deciding game, a direct clash for the championship title with Stari aerodrome, at the "Braće Velašević" stadium, it was 3:1.
In a match postponed due to the appearance of the selection of Montenegro against Hungary, Stari aerodrome entered the game better.
After a half-time of cautious play and tactical outmaneuvering, Stari aerodrome uses a counter attack to take the lead at the beginning of the second half.
But then coaches Zlatko Kostić, Batko Tomković and Miloš Vukčević launched an offensive by introducing winger Lazar Despotović and striker Petar Ivanović. The most effective attack in the league "worked", Petar Vuković equalized in the 52nd minute and then the reserve player and his namesake Ivanovic crowned the victory in the derby and the championship with two goals in the 59th and 63rd minutes.
The cup deservedly went to the Golden Ball team from Podgorica, which played the most efficient and likable football during the season. They scored 29 goals more than they conceded in the season, while the goal difference of the runners-up was +17.
Budućnost finished in third place.
