In addition to the embarrassment of their debut on the European stage, the Arsenal Football Club from Tivat has also been the target of serious accusations from the Polish state television TVP.
According to Mateuš Miga, a journalist of that media, as reported by the Polish portal Sports, there are serious indications that two matches of the 1st round of qualification for the Conference League are fixed, and that one of them is Arsenal's match against Armenian Alashkert (1:6).
TVP claims that during the first half - even though the score was 35:0 until the 0th minute - bookmakers received more than 250.000 euros on the game "2+ goals" during the first 45 minutes. The first goal at "DG Arena" was scored in the 40th minute, and the second in stoppage time in the first half.
Bookmakers tried to protect themselves from high payouts during the final 10 minutes of the first half, but some failed to do so in time. The odds at that moment at certain bookmakers for the live game "2+ goals" were as high as 30.
And everything continued in the second half when, as TVP says, suspicious payments for 5+ and 7+ goals started.
"In the end, the match ended with a score of 1:6, and that 'in an even more suspicious way', as the guests scored two goals in stoppage time in the second half," says TVP.
In addition to the match played at the "DG Arena", this media also raised the suspicion of match-fixing for the match RFS Riga - Macedonia Đorče Petrov, but that much more drastic payments were made for the match Arsenal - Alaškert.
