The results of Montenegrin football, representative and especially club football, are in decline. The spark of light was the chance of the cadet national team, which was five minutes away from qualifying for the European Championship in Wales this spring.
The backbone of Goran Perišić's selection were the students of the Budućnosti football school, and there is still hope for a return of good results. And the plan...
There are more and more football schools and centers, Buducnost is getting competition.
- He is happy that Dečić and the clubs from the 'DG Arena' have hired good staff and have promising youth schools. However, Budućnost leads the way, with the system established by Janko Miročević and Slavko Vlahović. Nevertheless, the move by FSCG to establish an Academy where the best train and prepare for representative selections was key to progress. It was up to us coaches to recommend, and it was up to coach Perišić to make a selection through control matches. In Wales, we were close to placing, which will not be missed soon. We have talent. We had the most participants in the Academy, but there are also our players from the diaspora - story for "Vijesti" Marko Vukčević, coach with an A license and his entire career in the blue and white jersey.
Himself a student of Miročević's school, Vukčević was Igor Burzanović's deputy captain in a great generation with Simon Vukčević, Milan Purović... Until the semi-finals of the Cup in 2002 and a serious injury on the field in Mojkovac and after 11 days of coma and six years of recovery, the status persons with severe disabilities, the popular Medo managed to graduate from the Faculty of Physical Education - majoring in professional football. Meanwhile, by working with younger people in the club where he has been since the age of six, he has also obtained an A license.
- I didn't come to terms with rejecting the invitation of a professional football player until I was 26 years old. As a talent, I signed a scholarship contract in Budućnost at the age of 14, and a serious injury at the age of 17, after all the national team selections, was fatal. However, Janko gave me the chance to be his assistant after completing my studies, and I have been leading my club's junior teams independently for six years now. The last season was very good, the second with the cadets and the Cup final, but with a team one year younger than the competition. This is because of the FSCG academy, where the best go. And in the generation of 2008, we expect the most from midfielder Lazar Savović, after all, he received a scholarship contract at the age of 14 and he plays for the national team a year older. Just like in the case of Viktor Đukanović, in whose development I collaborated with Željko Ćetković, dedication, discipline, work ethic are visible... That separates, and there really are talents. Here, the backbone of the great selection from Wales, Vasilije Adžić, Marko Perović, Andrej Camaj, Viktor's younger brother Pepi..., passed our school - says Vukčević and adds:
Unfortunately, it is not in the interests of the clubs to wait and give talented youngsters a real chance. Extra talent is already something else and rare.
Despite all the documentation, which he managed to overcome with his will, love for football and family support, believe it or not, the norms do not give Vukčević status from the medical reports of the best Montenegrin doctors.
- In the Law on Sports, despite the objections, only injuries from Olympic arenas are counted, at the age of 17 it belongs to the domain of fantasy. But football is the driving force, brother Nikola is the fitness coach of the first team of Budućnosti, he also played football for the Olympic selection in Pescara, and sister Marija was our first captain and stepped into the coaching job in Italy. I hope that our legal solutions will progress, and my goal is a Pro license. For her, I still need a little more than a year of work and then an internship. My recommendation is also the quality of the youth national team captain Nenad Krivokapić, Ognjen Stijepović, Milan Vuković... The fact that my generation of cadets is competing with their peers this year and that there are also a year younger and talented ones that we will join the team is a sign to the competition that they are not hoping for trophies in the upcoming season - claims Vukčević.
And in Budućnost, all teams are the concern of the club.
- It's a good system, the costs of the rooster team are borne by the club, and we coaches are also engaged in the Academy from six to 12 years old, which participants are charged symbolically. The best ones at the age of 14 get scholarships. And there is no "coverage", only coaches with valid and prescribed licenses work with children - concluded Vukčević.
