The deal has finally been reached - Croatian stopper Joško Guardiol is moving to Manchester City.
The BBC writes that the English champion and Leipzig have agreed on the transfer. City will pay 90 million euros fixed, and Guardiol will become the most expensive defender in history.
Bonuses will be included in the transfer.
Guardiol will travel to England this week and undergo medical examinations.
He came to Leipzig in 2021 from Dinamo Zagreb, who will earn 10,5 million euros from this transfer.
Guardiol played 87 games for Leipzig. And that he would move to City became clear when he was withdrawn from the team ahead of friendly matches.
Before Guardiola, City brought in another Croatian footballer this summer - Mateo Kovačić.
