Josko Guardiola's long-awaited transfer to Manchester City is about to be realized.
"Citizens" and Leipzig have signed documents, claims journalist Fabrizio Romano and states that Guardiol can be considered as a new player of the current European champion.
The Germans eventually relented, the deal is not worth 100 or more million, but it is certainly the biggest in history when it comes to transfers of defenders.
Guardiol ended up costing City a total of €90 million.
The Croatian stopper has played 87 games for Leipzig since arriving from Dinamo Zagreb in July 2021.
Last season, he scored a goal against City in the first leg of the round of 1 of the Champions League (1:7), then he was one of the weaker players in the second leg when the European champions won 0:XNUMX, and Erling Haaland scored five goals.
He also played 21 matches for Croatia, with whom he was third in the World Championship in Qatar last December.
