Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo has moved from Stuttgart to Liverpool, with whom he signed a long-term contract, the Premier League club announced on Friday.
Financial details were not disclosed, but British media reported that Liverpool offered around 16 million pounds ($20,33 million) to sign the 30-year-old, who has played 50 games for Japan.
"Right now I'm very happy and I'm very excited to join a great club Liverpool. It's an amazing feeling and it's my dream," Endo said.
Endo is Liverpool's third signing of the season after Alexis McAllister and Dominik Soboslay.
Liverpool played 1:1 with Chelsea at the opening of the new season, and the next game today is against Bournemouth on Saturday.
