Youth Montenegrin representative, 17-year-old Milan Roganović, signed the first professional contract in his career - the first professional contract with Partizan!
A guy who 12 months ago as a 16-year-old left Zeta for the black and white part of Belgrade, very quickly fought for his place under the sun in tough competition.
The real fight and the real proof, however, are still waiting for him.
"I can say that I have fulfilled my first football goal. Signing a professional contract with Partizan, the club I support, is something I could only dream about until now, and now it is a reality. I will, of course, continue to dream, but also to work dedicatedly, aware that I'm just at the beginning of my career and that signing a contract doesn't mean much if I don't prove myself on the field," says Roganović.
"My next goal is to make my debut for the first team of Partizan. That's why I still have a lot of work and proof ahead of me, first in my youth competition, of course not in training."
Milan plays as a defensive midfielder, the same position played by his father - former captain, coach, sports director, in the words of Zeta legend Dejan Roganović.
"My father is my biggest critic, but also someone who helps me a lot to think in the right sports and football way".
At only 16 years old, Milan Roganović played about 20 games in the Zeta jersey in the First Montenegrin League.
From the individual performance, the red card stands out. Admittedly, not exactly a "regular" red card. The way in which he received it perhaps reveals the fighting spirit in the best way, but also the way of thinking of this teenager, and belonging to the team.
"We played against Podgorica, an important match for survival, we were leading 1:0, it was about the 88th minute. The opposing player went at our goalkeeper alone, in a goal chance, I instinctively threw myself and decided to foul him, because the ball was too far. I was deservedly sent off, we won 1:0. Of course, I'm not the most proud of the red card, but after the match I received congratulations from my teammates, as if I had scored a goal, I felt that I really helped the team".
He is also decorated with tactical discipline, a strong duel, combinatorics, all of which is supported by great technique - it's no wonder that he is already on the lists of numerous scouts, but he decided to follow the normal, natural path.
Roganović is part of the youth national team, which is waiting for the preliminary qualification tournament for the European Championship in Podgorica in October.
"We got a tough group, England, Austria and Wales. Perhaps, however, it's better that way, to compete against real national teams, and it's a great thing that we're playing at home, which will be an additional motivation for us," concludes Milan Roganović.
