KMF Titograd, the Montenegrin futsal champion, qualified for the main qualifying round for the Champions League for the first time in history.
A great success for Zoran Milašević's team, who finally won the tournament of the preliminary stage of the qualifications, which they organized for the third time in a row.
All the experience they gathered in previous years, along with some good signings this summer, helped them top the group ahead of Dutch side Eindhoven, Georgia's Georgians Tbilisi and Gibraltar's Europe.
In the decisive match of the third round, a point was enough for Titograd against Eindhoven to confirm the first position, the Dutch eventually conceded five goals in the "Voko" hall in Donja Gorica - 5:2!
In the first two rounds, the Montenegrin champion defeated the Gregorians team with 4:3, which proved to be the toughest rival, while Titograd was better than Europe with 4:1.
The reinforcement from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Samir Gosto, gave Titograd the lead in the 3rd minute, but the Dutch equalized through Cejar in the 20th.
This did not destabilize Milasevic's players, so Gosto regained the advantage with another goal in the 27th minute, and when Filip Markovic scored 3:1 ten seconds before the end of the first half, it was clear who was going to the main round.
The visitors reduced the score through Bukari from the penalty spot, and after two goals by Nikola Cimbaljević in the finish, the people of Podgorica started celebrating.
It is known that the tournament of the main qualification round will be played in October, the host will be Zagreb, and one of the rivals will be the super-strong Dinamo Zagreb.
