Montenegro wants to win in Astana, it is considered a slight favorite, but it will not underestimate Kazakhstan, said football representative Marko Vešović.
The match with Kazakhstan is scheduled for September 1 in Astana, while they will meet Romania three days later in Podgorica.
The incomplete Montenegrin national team began preparations for the continuation of the qualifiers and duels with Kazakhstan and Romania.
At the first training session, Tumbaković had only six players available - Sead Hakšabanović, Marko Vešović, Luka Đorđević, goalkeeper Danijel Petković, Damir Kojašević and Marko Simić.
Before the first training session, Vešović said that he was looking forward to the reunion after three months.
"We have a difficult away game against Kazakhstan. It is one of the most important games for second place. We beat them 5:0 at home, but the game in Astana will be different. It is up to us to prepare as well as possible and play. We will do our best and I hope that the result will not be missed," Vešović said at the briefing in the training camp.
Vešović said that Montenegro is a slight favorite, but that it should also justify it.
"We are slight favorites, but we shouldn't get complacent. We shouldn't underestimate them, regardless of the convincing victory in Podgorica. We have to be careful, because they are playing at home, so they will start offensively. They showed that they play well at home, which was seen in match with Poland. They have good individuals and their football is getting better and better. It won't be easy at all," said the Rijeka footballer.
Vešović said that he was satisfied with the games in the Croatian team, stating that he was sorry that they failed to win the Champions League.
"I'm satisfied with the game. I'm in good shape, I'm ready. It's a shame that we didn't qualify for the Champions League. We played quite well against Olympiakos in both matches. We met our goal, we'll play in Europe. We have a good group. Milan is the favorite, and the chances we are looking for against Austria and AEK," concluded Vešović.
