It has been announced since Hansi Flik was fired, and it is official as of today.
Young expert Julian Nagelsman is the new coach of Germany, the Football Association of that country announced.
The guy who coached Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga at the age of 28, and who unexpectedly got fired from Bayern Munich in March, will make his debut on the "elf" bench in a friendly match on October 14 against the United States of America.
That match and everything else will be preparation for the competition that Germany is looking forward to.
"We have the European Championship in our country - it's something special, something that only happens every few decades," was the first thing Nagelsman said, as reported by the BBC.
The young specialist signed a contract until the end of the European Championship, which takes place in the summer.
"I had a great desire to accept this challenge. We will be a great group at the championship, always connected," added Nagelsman.
The legendary Rudi Feller, the sports director of the German Football Association, says that Julian was the first choice from the beginning.
"That's right - we knew that in addition to a great expert, we would also get a man who knows how to inspire the team, but also the whole environment," Feller pointed out.
Hansi Flick was recently sacked by the German FA after a string of poor results in the European qualifiers.
