Montenegrin footballers return with three points from the premier match on the Faroe Islands in the League of Nations! The team selected by coach Mirko Marić beat Toršavn's home team tonight with 1:0.
In the UC League of Nations, group 3, our soccer players occupy the leading position in the table, because Azerbaijan drew with Cyprus (1:1).
Our soccer players were better than the local players in Toršavn, and Armisa Kuč, assisted by Anđela Tošković, settled the game with a goal in the 21st minute.
Kuč had a chance at the beginning of the game and at the end of the first half, Jelean Vujadiniović failed to beat Joensen with a good header.
In the following, our selection was dangerous, but Kuč and Helena Božić were not precise.
Montenegro will play its next match on Tuesday, September 26 at 18 p.m., against the Azerbaijan national team at the DG Arena.
