Qualifications for the 2025 European Championship in Slovakia, our young national team continues today in Lausanne against Switzerland at 19:XNUMX. The chosen ones of Nikola Pec Rakojević are at the start, in September they defeated Armenia in Yerevan (1:0), and in this cycle they will also play the third qualifying match in Group E on the side - on October 17 against Albania in Rogožin.
The young Montenegrin team will not be able to count on the Sutjeska striker in both October qualifying matches Vuk Striković and midfielders of the Future Milana Vukotić.
Albania won in both games, Savjcarska also won its first duel in the group, away to Finland (2:1). Not an easy task against "Sajji", but Montenegro sees its chance.
Especially because there is a super talented 17-year-old in the team Vasilija Adžić.
- We are optimistic and hope to win three new points in Lausanne. We should expect to play like we did in Armenia in the last half hour, because I think that in that period we showed roughly how we should attack our rivals. On the other hand, through the analysis of Switzerland's game, we saw that we can use all our potential in the forward game.
Until the end of the year, after three consecutive guest appearances at the start, Montenegro will finally host Albania on November 21, but before that it has to "survive" two tough duels on the side, to try to get some points.
"There is great optimism among us and we always go for victory. We need to think positively, whoever the opponent is. I hope that we will register three new points and that is our only focus", adds Adžić before visiting the Swiss.
In our group E, today from 17:19.30 Finland will host Albania, while from 3:2 Romania will welcome Armenia. The Romanians lost their only match in Albania with 2:1, while Armenia, apart from our team, was also defeated by Albania with XNUMX:XNUMX.
