Budućnost and Sutjeska will play in Gorica (18.30:XNUMX p.m.) the second biggest Montenegrin derby this season, which as usual has great importance when it comes to the table and the continuation of the championship race.
However, unlike some earlier derbies and previous seasons, this is not a duel between the leading duo - in front of Podgorica and Nikšić is Dečić, who has tied five victories and is awaiting the outcome of the autumn part of the half-season from the top of the table.
Admittedly, the advantage of Tuzan is not great, at least compared to Budućnost - it amounts to only one point, while Sutjeska is a little further behind and in the biggest game on the domestic scene is looking to return to the fight for the title.
Nikšić and Mornar share the 4th place in the table, and are seven points behind the leader Dečić.
Budućnost and Sutjeska are the two biggest and most trophy-winning local clubs, but what catches the eye is the series that the team from Podgorica has in the duel with Nikšić - they have not been defeated in 10 games, including the championship and the Cup (six wins, four draws), and the last defeat he experienced back in November 2021.
Since then, "round" 700 days have passed!
Can Sutjeska end this bad streak?
"It's a game when form, statistics, table and other things - fall into the water", cautioned the coach of Budućnost Mladen Milinković.
The first derby of the season, played in Nikšić, was won by Budućnost (2:1), with goals from Balša Sekulić and Milan Vukotić.
"I hope that our team will be able to repeat the games from the previous derbies and that we will get a good result. In a match like this, there are no favorites - and here the will, desire and inspiration decide, with a small dose of luck", Milinković added.
Sutjeska is still looking for the right form, in the last 13 rounds she registered only four victories, and maybe the triumph of the previous weekend against Jedinstva (2:0) is a sign of better days.
"We know each other well, we played recently... We have prepared well for this match, we have a complete squad at our disposal," said the coach of Nikšić's "blue and whites", Vladimir Janković.
"I see our chance in the fact that we have created a continuity of training, games, coordination, homogeneity, as well as in the atmosphere that reigns here," Janković added.
The derby under Gorica will be led by the best Montenegrin referee Nikola Dabanović.
Leader Dečić is visiting Bar - and will try to inflict Mornar's first defeat after eight games. The Rams have not lost since August 20, when they lost against Dečić in Podgorica (3:1), after which the "unshaven" went through tough matches with all other rivals in the league.
For Milorad Peković's team, which wants to preserve the first place, and possibly increase the difference in view of the Budućnost - Sutjeska derby, this will be a big test after five consecutive victories.
Petrovac welcomes Jezero, Jedinstvo Franca will try against Arsenal in Bijelo Polje to end the series of four consecutive matches without a win, while Mladost Lob.bet and Rudar will play a back-to-back derby at the "DG Arena" - if they win, Pljevlja will lose for the first time this season "lantern".
