The Dutch sports court has banned former footballer Mark Overmars from holding any position in Dutch football for the next year after sending inappropriate messages to female colleagues.
Overmars resigned as sporting director of Ajax last year and apologized for his behavior.
He was later appointed sporting director of Belgian Antwerp.
According to local media, the sports court decided to ban Overmars from holding any position in Dutch football for a period of two years, one of which is conditional.
This ban does not affect his work in Belgium.
In his playing career, Overmars played for Ajax, Arsenal and Barcelona.
