The pioneering football team of Montenegro defeated Malta today (1:0) in a friendly match in Podgorica.
The only goal was scored by Petar Bošković in the sixth minute, after a corner kick by Mark Đokaj. There were no goals after that, although coach Minja Ljumović's team created several chances for a more convincing triumph.
However, Bošković, Petar Begović, Đokaj and Vuk Jovović were not precise.
"This was one of the worse games of this selection this year. We dominated possession of the ball, attacked throughout the game, but there was no real final pass or successful finish, so we did not manage to score more goals. The opponent never threatened us and, apart from the result, we cannot be satisfied with any segment of the game. In the second game, we will make more changes in the composition, in order to refresh the team," said coach Ljumović.
Montenegro and Malta will play the second game on Wednesday, also at the Training Camp of FK Budućnost, starting at 13 p.m.
