Kustošija, an urban area in Zagreb that few people outside of Croatia have heard of, is once again in the spotlight because of football.
Of course, not because of the results of the club of the same name, because it is a team that does not have great success and which, as of this season, is a member of the third tier of Croatian football, but because of a new super transfer.
After the young Senegalese defender Mikajil Faje moved from Custošija to Barcelona for five million and bonuses in June, the 16-year-old forward Dino Klapija left the same club for the Bundesliga.
The boy, who is considered a great talent of Croatian football, was brought by RB Leipzig - for 5,2 million euros and 10 percent of the next sale.
As previously reported by the Croatian media, Kustošija brought Klapija from Dinamo and gave him a professional contract, which will now obviously pay off well.
Klapija was born in the United States of America and played for New York City before arriving at "Maksimir".
In addition to Leipzig, Manchester United and Chelsea wanted Kustoshija's talent.
When it comes to the aforementioned Faje, it is interesting that he played only 14 games for Kustoshija, after which Barca paid five million for him and set an exit clause of as much as 400 million euros.
