The players of Jordan are sensational finalists of the Asian Cup, after they shocked the big favorite South Korea with 2:0 in the first semi-final in Al Rayan.
The goals for Jordan's first place in the final of the continental championship were Al Naimat in the 53rd minute and Al Tamari in the 66th minute.
Jordan was better, even in the first half the defense of Jürgen Klinsmann's selection was in great trouble, and the team of Moroccan coach Husein Amuta paid for the better game in the sequel.
Jazan Al Naimat, striker of Al Ahli from Doha, who grew up under the coaching hand of our Nebojša Jovović, elegantly beat the Korean goalkeeper after a big mistake by Mitjiland midfielder Gue-Sung Cho and an assist by Al Tamari.
Moussa Al Tamari, a player from Montpellier, finished everything by himself in the 66th minute, carried the ball from his own half, walked through the opponent's defense and placed phenomenally into the net from about 20 meters for the indescribable celebration of Jordanian football players and fans.
This was the second meeting between Jordan and South Korea at this championship, the group was tied 2:2, when Korea scored an own goal in stoppage time to draw.
In both previous matches of the knockout stage - in the round of 16 against Saudi Arabia, in the quarter-final against Australia, the Koreans "scratched" with goals deep in stoppage time, for overtime, and then a pass. This was not the case this time.
Entering the semi-finals was Jordan's greatest success in history, until this championship, the national team only played in the quarter-finals twice, in 2004 and 2011. Jordan is currently the 87th selection in the Fifa rankings.
On the other hand, South Korea remains on two continental championship titles, won in the first two competitions back in 1956 and 1960. In addition, there are four second and four third places.
On Saturday, Jordan will play in the final against the winner of the match between the current champion and the host team, Katra, and Iran. That semi-final duel is scheduled for Wednesday.
