The football club Otrant-Olimpik announced that during the match of the Second Montenegrin Football League between that team and Bokelje in Ulcinj, the football player of the visiting team Igor Poček, as they say, provoked the local fans in a vulgar way.
"During the entire match, the visiting player Igor Poček constantly insulted and provoked our fans with vulgar expressions, gestures and curses, to whom we are extremely grateful for their support and for not falling for the aforementioned player's provocations," Otran-Olimpik said in a statement he signed. The match between the two first-placed teams of the second league caravan ended without goals, and Otrant-Olimpic added that they were additionally surprised by the fact, as they state, that Poček's club is headed by the vice-president of the Football Association of Montenegro.
"Koji did not even try to send a word of criticism to his player for uncultured, ill-mannered, vulgar, street behavior. We sincerely hope that the disciplinary bodies of the Association will analyze Poček's behavior and, in accordance with the FSCG rulebook, adequately sanction him," said the Ulcinj club.
In the announcement, Otrant-Olympic also submitted a video from the aforementioned match.
"We are proud of the fact that we were the organizers of the football spectacle in Ulcinj and in the stands that were cramped for football fans, but at the same time we are disappointed that we had to deal with some things that have no place, instead of recounting the atmosphere and the match itself in football stadiums. We hope that we will completely eradicate such examples and that we will not drive football fans out of the stadium with unsportsmanlike examples and behavior of the actors", they conclude in the announcement.
After 25 rounds, the 2nd CFL leader is Bokelj, who has two points more than Otrant-Olimpic.
