Budućnost and Dečić continue the race for the title, there is still one whole round left (nine rounds), in which the leading teams enter tied - they have 50 points each.
Symbolically, with 50:50 (percentage), the chances of Podgorica and Tusan could be ranked in the final sprint in which even the smallest details could decide.
Third-placed Sutjeska has seven points less than the leading two and is theoretically not written off, as are Jezero and Mornar (eight less each). It would be necessary, however, for Nikšić, or Plavljan and Barane, to get going, and for the first-placed to continue losing points, for a spectacular turnaround to occur in the finish.
Such a thing has never been seen on the CFL fields, so it is believed that the fight for the title until the end of the season will still be between two teams, and that the remaining three will "fight" for the 3rd position that could bring Europe.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of Buducnosti, the advantages and disadvantages of Dečić, if they are equal in terms of points (and percentage) with 50:50.
DEČIĆ HAS A BETTER PERSONAL SCORE - SO FAR
Experience is on the side of Podgorica - literally every season they fight for the title, they won six in independent Montenegro, and three in the previous four years.
Tusan are "new" in this battle, they have only been in the top for the last three years, and they haven't even finished second in the standings, but twice third. However, that motive and energy to win the first, not only the title, but also the trophy in the structure of the club, could be a chance for the chosen ones. Milorad Peković.
29
points were won by Dečić as a guest, even seven more than Budućnost (22), even though he played one game less on the side. Tusan compensated for the lack of a classic home field with away editions, because playing at home they won seven points less than Buducnost
Already on Sunday, after the extraordinary round is played on Wednesday, the last clash of the season is scheduled, in which Dečić will host Budućnost, which could also be an advantage for Tuzan.
If at the end of the season the two teams are tied on points, the mutual score will decide, which, at the moment, after three matches, is on the side of Dečić, who won the autumn duel at home, with two draws in Gorica. The future, therefore, next Sunday in the derby is not only playing for points, which could be crucial in the fight for primacy, but also for taking over a better mutual score, another trump card in the race for the title. How they lost 2 in the fall: elected officials Mladen Milinković they should celebrate with at least a two goal difference.
LACK OF HOME COURT TUSANA'S BIG HANDICAP
What is a clear advantage of Budućnost, i.e. a big handicap for Dečić, is the fact that Peković's team did not play a single match this season on their home field, in Tuzi (reconstruction), and the question is whether they will until the end of the season. As host, Dečić mostly uses the field of OFK Titograd, which is in bad condition, sometimes he also plays at the DG Arena. If they win the title in a season in which they are guests practically from the beginning to the end, Tuzani will make a real small feat.
Until the end of the season, Bubućnost plays five matches under Gorica, four of them as a guest, in contrast to Dečić, who is a host four times and a guest on five occasions.
That, however, does not have to mean anything, considering that Dečić is by far the best guest this season - he is undefeated away from home, the side won 29 points, even seven more than Budućnost, even though Tuzani played one less away game . Dečić, however, feels that he does not have a classic home field, so he is only fourth in the table when it comes to matches at home and won seven points less than Budućnost, with one game more.
Buducnost, with fewer away games, also has slightly easier matches on the side, because in addition to Dečić, they face Jezera, Arsenal and Petrovac, while Tuzani play against Jedinstvo, Petrovac, Sailor, Rudar and Sutjeska, which could be the most difficult away game.
It is difficult to judge a team's chances based on the schedule, and the issue of form could be crucial. In the first part of the second half of the season, neither of them could find themselves, it's hard to remember when the leaders lost so many points. Thus, in the first seven autumn rounds, Budućnost won only eight points out of a possible 21, and Dečić won 10.
In just two rounds, out of the spring's eight, both Dečić and Budućnost won (like two days ago), and if this trend continues, this will be the championship in which the champion will win the fewest points. Budućnost won the least last season - 70.
STRONG LEAGUE OR LACK OF QUALITY - EVERYONE KNOWS THE ANSWER
The question of quality - who has a better team, a wider selection of players, has always been crucial, but in such a confused race for the title, with so many bad performances, on bad pitches, it is actually difficult to give a true assessment.
Buducnost did step up well in the half-season, paid dearly and brought proven (Đorđe Destpotović was shaking the nets in Russia, the returnees Igor Ivanovic i Milos Raickovic are recent national team players), but Dečić also brought experienced and proven players in the half-season (Bojan Matic played for Partizan, Nenad Gavrić for Red Star).
The last round, and the 2:0 victory over Petrovac, hints, however, that the return to rhythm and form of the biggest pearl of Montenegrin football, the 17-year-old Vasilija Adžić, the guy who will wear the Budućnosti jersey from June, could be the key advantage of the Podgorica team.
It remains to be seen whether this will actually be the case.
