Sutjeska is the team that is in the best shape in the second part of the season in the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League.
In the 29th round, the team from Nikšić beat Mornar (2:0) and for the first time this season defeated their rival from Bar. In the previous three matches, Mornar won twice (1:0, 1:0) and one match ended in a draw (1:1).
Sutjeska's last defeat in MeridianBet 1. CFL was against Mornar, on February 18, at the start of the second part of the season. Since then, the "blues" from Nikšić have played nine matches, won six times, played tied three times, so they will be watching the derby between Dečić and Budućnost, which is scheduled for Tuesday (18) at the "DG Arena", with great attention. After today's triumph, Sutjeska moved closer to Budućnost, just one point behind, while Dečić, on the eve of the derby, has four points more than Miljan Radović's team. Quite unexpectedly, Sutjeska absolutely joined the race for the title.
Sutjeska ended the cycle of three matches in a row on the home field to the maximum (previously defeated Rudar and Jezero), and today they reached victory through Vuk Striković in the 59th minute and Dusan Vuković in the 71st minute.
The guests were the first to threaten in the match through Nikola Vuković in the fifth minute, and on the other side, in the 18th minute, after a corner and a shot by Dušan Vuković, the ball hit the crossbar.
By the end of the first half, Sutjeska had a good chance from Srđan Krstović, Vuković tried again, but the Sailors' net did not shake. On the other side, Milan Vušurović and Demir Škrijelj were the most dangerous.
Sutjeska took the lead in the 59th minute - Vuković crossed, and Vuk Striković shot with his left foot, sent the ball into the far corner and scored a nice goal.
The final score was set in the 71st minute. Vasko Kalezić threw the ball into the penalty area, and Vuković placed it nicely and sent it into the net.
After this game, Sutjeska has four more points than Mornar, but also Jezera, which played a great game today and defeated Arsenal in Berane - 4:0.
The Blues scored all four goals in the first half, and they took the lead in the 17th minute when Senaga Naoaki made a solo breakthrough and scored a nice goal.
Two minutes later, the visitors lost the ball in the center, and Marko Šimun found Petr Orlandić, who doubled the lead.
Five minutes before the end of the first half, Jezero scored a third goal. Orlandić and Šimun combined again, who beat Nikola Pejović with a precise shot from the edge of the penalty area.
That was not all in the first half - in the 42st minute, Senaga scored the second goal of the match and set the final score.
In the second half, the home team was left with one less player, as captain Nikola Jovićević was sent off in the 65th minute.
And there was no winner in the northern derby - Rudar and Jedinstvo played to a draw in Pljevlje (1:1). The guests took the lead in the 29th minute through Alija Krnić, Jasmin Muhović scored a point for Rudar in stoppage time.
