Chelsea master Cole Palmer could have ended up in Brighton last summer before arriving in London - revealed the manager of the "Seagulls" Roberto de Zerbi.
Brighton and Chelsea play on Wednesday in the penultimate round of the Premier League.
"We tried to bring him, we knew he would become a top footballer", said the Italian and the guy who scored 21 goals and 10 assists this season in the championship.
"Blues" brought Palmer from Manchester City for 50 million euros.
"Everyone who has watched him knows how much that guy can do, but at City he couldn't get the space to show it. This season, he showed everything," said Palmer.
