The junior cadet football team of Montenegro was defeated yesterday in Kodžaeli by Turkey (4:2) in the second friendly match between these teams.
Turkey won the first match 3:2.
The scorers for Montenegro were Miloš Šekularac and Petar Pavićević, while Emin Saraj (two goals), Ramazan Ozčelik and Bilal Demirag scored on the other side.
"In the early stages of the match, we conceded a goal from the penalty spot and made things even more difficult on the field. However, we soon equalized and brought the match back to level. With some strange refereeing decisions, by the end of the first half we conceded two more goals and it was difficult for expect to return to the match. Realistically, Turkey was a much better opponent today, they dominated possession of the ball, which ultimately resulted in this outcome," said coach Minja Ljumović.
Ljumović points out that the team was not at the desired level.
"Also, we were not at the desired level, we were without aggression, without the desire to try to play in the field, without calmness in the passing and the finishing itself. This was a strong rhythm for us, considering that the game lasted up to 100 minutes with extras , and our players play up to 80 minutes in their clubs. All in all, the first match against Turkey gives us the right to hope for the best in the future, with the obligation to continue working even harder and improve in every aspect, said Ljumović.
