The coach of the German national football team, Julian Nagelsmann, announced today the list of 27 players who will begin preparations for the European Championship, which is scheduled from June 14 to July 14.
Nagelsman announced the list today in Berlin, but 18 names had already been announced from Sunday evening to Wednesday evening via the media or social networks.
Nagelsman's list includes Toni Kroos and Ilkaj Gundogan, as well as Aleksandar Pavlovic, but Mats Hummels, Leon Gorecka and Julijan Brant are absent.
Bayern Munich's Thomas Müller, who has played 128 games for Germany, is the most experienced player in the team, followed by teammate Manuel Neuer (117 appearances) and Real Madrid's Toni Kroos (108).
After friendlies against Ukraine on June 4 in Nuremberg and Greece on June 7 in Mönchengladbach, Nagelsmann will have to decide on a final 26-man squad.
Germany will start the European Championship in which it is the host on June 14 in Munich against Scotland, and then they will play against Hungary on June 19 in Stuttgart and Switzerland on June 23 in Frankfurt.
