The head coach of the Montenegrin women's football team, Mirko Marić, announced the list of players for the upcoming matches against Greece and Andorra in the qualifiers for the European Championship.
Montenegro will play both matches away, and the first is against Greece on May 31 (17), while the match with Andorra is scheduled for June 4 (19). Our team started the qualification with victories over Andorra (6:1) and the Faroe Islands (5:1).
"From the first day, we said that Greece is the favorite of this group. But that doesn't have to mean anything when the game starts. I hope we play the best we can, and we'll see how much it's enough for. Only when that game is over we can let's talk about visiting Andorra", said coach Mirko Marić.
Montenegro and Greece share first place in the table of group C3, with our selection having a better goal difference.
"This match can be decisive for the first place. A draw would be a good result for us, and we should not forget that Greece is under more pressure, because it plays at home and is the favorite of the group. It would be nice if we stay at the top after this game tables, but we must not be burdened by it. It is important to be at the maximum level", added Marić.
