The pioneering football team of Montenegro won second place at the "Josip Škija Katalinski" Memorial Tournament.
In the fight for first place, our selection was defeated by Belgrade - 3:1.
Montenegro took the lead in the 17th minute when Nikola Vukoje scored, then had several chances to double the lead...
And then there was an upheaval - Belgrade triumphed with goals from Uroš Kikić, Luka Timotijević and Lazar Perić.
"In the first half, we played a bit better compared to the first match, took a 1:0 lead and created several goals. A penalty for all missed chances soon followed. It's worrying that we didn't have any reaction after conceding goals, so we didn't even threaten the opponent," said coach Minja Ljumović.
Two days ago, the Montenegrin footballers beat Sarajevo on penalties.
"In both matches, 26 players got minutes, but we still have a lot of work to do with this selection, which is at the very beginning. First of all, we have to work on the behavior of the boys, on the attitude towards the national team jersey, and only then on the technical-tactical aspect", Ljumović pointed out.
Montenegro played in the composition of: Simon Sošić, Nemanja Kljajević (26. Danilo Kisić (51. Andrija Pavićević)), Miloš Laković (36. Nikola Kaluđerović (54. Matija Gačević)), Nikola Avedisović (36. Viktor Miličković), Danilo Kovačević (36. Uroš Jošanović) , Lazar Bulatović (36. Stefan Pejović), Amar Suljević (51. Pavle Radusinović), Darko Matanović (36. Luka Kuč), Nikola Vukoje (36.
