Napoli football player Victor Osimen is injured and will not play the upcoming two qualifying matches for the World Cup, the Football Association of Nigeria announced today.
The federation, which did not specify the nature of his injury, said that Osimen will be unavailable for four weeks.
He will therefore miss the games against South Africa on June 7 and against Benin three days later.
The Nigerian national football team is currently third in the World Cup qualifiers Group C standings with two points.
First in the table is Rwanda with four, and second is South Africa with three, while Benin is last with one point.
