The representative of the club, especially in the matches of the younger categories, does not have an important and notable role, said the Sutjeska Football Club.
The Nikšić club announced itself with a statement signed by Miloš Jovanović, the head of development of the Sutjeska youth school, after the two younger sections of that club did not play games, because they did not have a club representative, so they lost with an official score of 3:0.
"The representative of the club can be any Montenegrin citizen who has reached the age of 18, regardless of whether he is employed in the club or not - he just needs to be licensed as a club representative. Often, the club representative is also one of the trainees who intern at the club in as part of the professional training program for university students," Jovanović added and emphasized that he wanted to clarify what kind of omissions were involved.
"Well-intentioned, constructive criticism and comments are always welcome and help in the process of solving problems, while on the other hand, malicious oversizing of failures will not bring good to anyone, not even those who market them," said Jovanović.
He also says that the presence of the club representative is confirmed by the match delegate before the start of the match, and that his role usually ends there.
"In a large number of meetings, in the previous period, the representatives of most clubs did not attend the match itself (although they also have a role in replacing players). The penalty provided for the absence of a club representative, until the decision is changed, was 30 euros. Certain FSCG delegates continue to act according to this decision, they also allow matches to be played without club representatives".
He pointed out that during the competitive season, Sutjeska delegates club representatives to the matches of all six junior teams and one club representative with the senior team every Sunday.
"It is interesting that the absence of a club representative in the Meridianbet 1. CFL is sanctioned with a fine of 300 euros, while the younger categories are punished by not playing the match and registering it with the official result. The problem arises when the club representative does not report in time (due to illness, urgent obligations etc...) is not able to travel with the team and when there is simply not enough time to send another representative," the announcement reads.
He agrees that it is an omission and that it should be sanctioned, and the way it will be done is decided by the organizer of the competition - FSCG.
"It is not in anyone's interest that this happens, but when it happens (in the event of the match not being played) then there is no way to fix it. Of course, this is not an excuse, but at least it is a logical explanation as to why some mistake happened, or could happen in the future. Competition organizer should think about this decision and change it so that at least the children and their coaches do not suffer harmful consequences.
Due to not having a representative of the club, Sutjeska first lost the pioneer league match against Igalo on May 23, and three days later in the cockerel league against Future.
"The match of the 'development league', for boys aged 12, was supposed to be played in Podgorica on May 26, but the delegate of the match decided not to play it because the representatives did not show up at the scheduled time for the match (10 o'clock) both clubs. The coaches and the boys agreed that the match would be played without the presence of officials and it was played.
He emphasized that the representative of Sutjeska could not attend that match due to illness, and that the notification about this came late so that a replacement could be determined and sent in time.
"For the sake of information, 28 clubs participated in the 'development league' at the beginning of the competition season, and during the season as many as 11 clubs left it, which speaks volumes about the seriousness of that competition. Matches were often held even when the team did not have a coach, but was led by a club representative and that was not a problem. Why the delegate made such a decision and why strictness is being practiced at Sutjeska in the last few rounds in a league that essentially fell apart (and in which our club continued to participate so that this would not formally happen) is the question for the organizers of the competition," Jovanović believes.
Sutjeska, he says, as a large and organized club, should respect the propositions, rules and decisions of the competition organizers.
"That's how it's always been and that's how it will be. Likewise, it must and should influence their change if it's obvious that they're not good and that their strict application can cause damage to clubs and their competitive selections, which they will do in the shortest possible time. deadline by submitting an initiative to amend disputed regulations, which do not serve the purpose and bring more harm than good".
He believes that all actors of sports events, both organizers and active participants, must make a full contribution in order to create the best possible conditions for working with children and their adequate development.
"FK Sutjeska will take additional measures in the coming period to ensure that the mistakes made are not repeated and give a positive example and full contribution to solving the problem by submitting the mentioned initiative," concluded Jovanović.
