History has been written, Otrant Olimpik will play in the elite club of Montenegrin football for the first time.
In the second match of the first MeridianBet League play-off, the Ulcinj club drew against Mladost Lob.bet - this time at a packed DG arena - 2:2 after a 1:0 win at home.
At least half of the stands of the stadium in Donja Gorica were occupied by visiting fans who were in for a shock at the very beginning, as the home team took the lead in the 4th minute.
Dušan Vuković took a free kick obliquely from the left side, the ball went past a dozen players and continued its way to the net - goalkeeper Jasmin Agović had no chance, so the team of Slavoljub Bubanja immediately canceled the deficit from the first match (1:0).
However, after a few minutes, Otrant stabilized and took control.
Halil Muharemović was able to equalize after ten minutes, his slightly weaker shot was stopped in the penalty box by defender Nemanja Đurović, and in the 21st minute, an equalizer was seen.
The defense of Mladost was outplayed on the right side, Kristijan Škrelja had a bad shot, but the ball bounced from Đurović and Igor Vukčević into the net.
Otranto was able to turn it around, Muharemović had the opportunity again, and in stoppage time in the first half, the visiting team gained a numerical advantage, because the referee Miloš Savović gave a straight red card to Boris Došljak for hitting Balša Banović in front of the Otranto penalty area.
Dejan Vukićević's team took the lead in the 59th minute, when the Japanese Hiroki Harada crossed, and Benjamin Redžović headed the ball unimpeded from a few meters into the net. It was believed that they had everything in their hands, until the 77th minute when Ljubomir Pejović equalized after a corner.
There was hope for Mladost that they could at least make it to the penalty shootout and they had two serious situations through Vuković, but the result did not change.
Ulcinj won the first league, and Mladost, after one season in the elite, returns to a lower rank.
