The women's national football team of Montenegro defeated Andorra (3:5) in the C1 group away from home last night and continued with good results in the qualifiers for the European Championship.
Five days ago, our selection drew away with Greece, so even after the June cycle, it remained in first place in the table.
"With two quick goals, we opened the game in the right way. We played a correct first half, then entered the second well and then closed the game properly. We could have scored a few more goals, however, we have to be satisfied with the victory. We have a successful mini cycle, we won four points in two games, which is also a reason for satisfaction, said coach Mirko Marić after the match with Andorra.
Montenegro will play its next match on July 12 against the Faroe Islands, and four days later, at the end of this round of qualification, it will meet Greece in the deciding match.
If our ladies advance, two rounds of matches await them - first against rivals from the B league, and then against opponents from the strongest, A club.
