The youth football team of Montenegro was defeated last night by Turkey (4:3) in the first round of the friendly tournament held in Croatia.
Turkey took the lead in the 34th minute through Redzep Dilek, and in the 41st minute Halim Jukseloglu doubled the lead. At the beginning of the second half, Turkey reached the third goal, and Dilek was the scorer again, and Marko Perović reduced the score in the 53rd minute.
Our selection reduced the score to 60:3 in the 2th minute, when Eren Pasahan scored an own goal, and 10 minutes before the end, Turkey scored the fourth goal through Efe Martin.
The final result was set by Marko Tadić in the 89th minute.
"We played a bad first half, we conceded two goals from our mistakes. However, in the rest of the game we played better, showed character, got close to 3:2, and had a goal for 3:3. I have to be satisfied with the way the second half was played, because we came to a strong tournament without seven standard players. We have a match with Croatia coming up, I hope we will be able to rest for another strong game," coach Goran Perišić said after the match for the Association's website.
Our selection will play the match against Croatia on June 7.
