The players of Budućnosti defeated the champion of Albania Egnatia with 2:1, at the end of the preparations in the Slovenian Moravski Toplice.
The winner of the double crown in Albania, who is preparing for the qualification for the Champions League and a double match with Borce from Banja Luka, took the lead in the 38th minute, and Budućnost equalized in the last seconds of the first half.
After high pressing and a mistake by the opposing goalkeeper, Igor Ivanović hit an empty net from about 30 meters away.
The moment of decision happened in the 84th minute, when Bodin Tomašević brought the ball out brilliantly and passed it to Ivan Bojović, who managed to free himself from the opposing defenders and scored for 2:1.
"We played in a way that, as a coach, I don't prefer and which may not be pretty to the eye, but it is - competitive. The most important thing is to get a result", said Buducnosti coach Ivan Brnović after the match.
"Today, I am the least satisfied with the way we built the game, kept the ball... The opponent kept the ball in their possession a lot, and we, on the other hand, were dangerous from the counterattack. We played well in the low and middle zone, the rival had no solutions for us, and we conceded a goal when we pressed for about twenty minutes," said Brnović, who can be satisfied with how the team acted as a team in most of the match. .
"We won as a team. We were tactically smart, every player gave his best and then individuals came out of the team. All in all, a real competitive game, similar ones are waiting for us in Europe, I am satisfied with the effort, and the result came as a result of the willing moment and desire of the players".
After returning to Podgorica, Buducnost will have another test before the matches with the Mališev team from Kosovo (July 11 and 18) in the first round of the Conference League qualifiers.
