The women's football team of Montenegro was defeated 2:1 in the Faroe Islands in the penultimate round of group C3 qualification for EURO 2025.
After three consecutive victories over the same rivals, Mirko Marić's women were absolute favorites. In the last two duels between each other, the Farankas scored 14 goals, in the League of Nations they celebrated with the most convincing 9:0 in the history of our women's football, but...
But Faranka surprised, and Sevdal hinted at the surprise in the 19th minute.
Armisa Kuč equalized three minutes later with her sixth goal in the matches so far against Faranki.
However, there was no turning point as Torolvsdottir scored in the 32nd minute for what would turn out to be the final score.
With the defeat, our soccer players did not lose their chances for first place in Group 3, but they will have to defeat Greece in Podgorica on July 16.
In Greece it was tied - 2:2.
If our soccer players go further, two rounds of playoffs await them - first against rivals from the B league, and then against the team from the strongest, A club.
