You will see a different, more offensive, better Buducnost, announced coach Ivan Brnović ahead of tomorrow's rematch against Kosovo's Mališeva (21 p.m., stadium under Gorica) in the 1st round of qualification for the Conference League.
The people of Podgorica lost the first match in Podujevo with 1:0 and tomorrow they play a game on the outcome of which depends, at least in the short term - the future of the club!
Brnović did not hesitate to say that, accepting all the pressure and consequences in case of eventual relegation.
"It's like that when you lead Buducnost, and knowing that I accepted this job. The pressure is always there and we have to face it, for every coach of Buducnost, every next match is a kind of buying time, and every defeat - whether in Europe , in the championship or the Cup, it can mean that you are close to the exit door. I knew that even before I became a coach."
European matches, however, are not like the others, Brnović admitted, stressing that his thoughts and those of his footballers - despite everything, are extremely positive.
"European matches are the most important, Podgorica and Budućnost live for bad nights. That's why I invite the fans to fill the stands, that their roar will carry us to victory and passing on".
Brnović promised a better future than seven days ago, when his team played a subordinate role in the second half and lost 1:0.
"You will see a different Buducnost. We played defensively there, the main goal was not to concede a goal, and that tactic would have worked if only we had been a little more composed in front of the opponent's goal in the first half. Why did we fall in the sequel - is a complex question and requires a complex answer. it's not just about physical preparation, it's probably also related to the psyche, we had a lot of young players in the team who obviously couldn't handle the pressure of an international match.
By advancing to the 2nd round, Budućnost would win a double-header with Sofia's CSKA 1948 and satisfy the minimum of European ambitions.
"We are playing at home, in front of our fans, I believe we are still at least a 10-20 percent better quality team than the opponent and there is no reason not to think positively and optimistically. I am glad that I realized this in the conversation with the players," said Brnović, announcing two offensive changes compared to the first match.
"The recovered captain Petar Grbić is coming back, he will lead the attack, Ivan Bulatović will also play. Offensively, there is no reason to hide our tactics anymore when it comes to the goal. We must not, of course, go head to head, Mališeva has two extremely fast and dangerous attackers, Bruti and Khazrolaj and they would hardly wait for a wide space, if we would allow it to them".
Andrija Bulatović, youth national team member, although still 17 years old, showed in the first game that he is ready to take responsibility, that he is a great reinforcement for Budućnost.
"I was received fantastically, the adaptation period went phenomenally and I am satisfied with the start, regardless of the defeat in the first game in Kosovo. I believe that in the second leg we will make up for it and advance to the next round, with the support of our fans who deserve to give them a nice European evening," says Bulatović.
The future must be much more aggressive in the second leg - at least to the extent that Mališeva was in the continuation of the first game.
"We missed our chances in the first half, we had four or five goal situations, but luckily we have a rematch ahead of us - we have 90 or more minutes, the roar of our fans and all the prerequisites to make up for the deficit and move on," added Bulatović.
The match under Gorica will be refereed by the Hungarian four led by Mihalj Kaprali. The match starts at 21:XNUMX, tickets cost three euros for the west stand and two euros for the north stand.
Let's repay Mališev for his great hospitality
Duels between Budućnosti and Mališev have been declared high-risk matches by Uefa - for well-known reasons, but the people of Podgorica did not feel any "risk" in the first match, stated Ivan Brnović.
"We received a great welcome, the atmosphere at the stadium was pleasant and I want to thank Mališeva for the hospitality. It is up to us to return the same measure to our rival in the second leg," said Ivan Brnović.
