The European Football Association (UEFA) announced that the Ukrainian team Dnipro-1 was kicked out of its competitions due to financial problems.
In today's statement, UEFA said that Dnipro-1 will not play in its competitions this season.
This automatically means that the Hungarian Puskas Academy won a place in the 3rd qualifying round for the Conference League, since it was decided by lot that these two teams will play in the second qualifying round.
At the beginning of July, the Ukrainian media wrote about the club's financial problems and the road to bankruptcy. Last week, the Ukrainian league officially announced the withdrawal of Dnipro-1 from the competition.
Last year, Dnipro-1 was fourth in the domestic championship.
