Buducnost was on the right track to knock down CSKA 1948, after another European goal by Vladimir Perišić, it erased the defeat from Sofia, but the dreams collapsed in extra time.
Tonight at "DG Arena", Budućnost - CSKA 1948 1:1, first match 0:1.
From the start of the game, the "blue and white" wanted a goal that would open the door to a turnaround, and in the first half, Milan Vukotić was the most dangerous with great shots from distance - after one, he also hit the crossbar.
However, the real things arrived in the second half with the entry of Perišić... The game was played in the 65th minute when Vukotić sent another bomb, the goalkeeper Petar Marinov deflected the ball, and Perišić followed everything and deftly shook the net with his head.
After that, the match went into extra time, perhaps a slightly braver Budućnost was expected in the extra 30 minutes, and then the penalty came after a mistake...
Ognjen Gašević got tangled up (or slipped) in his own half, Jevgenij Serdjuk took advantage of everything and in the 102nd minute shook the net and tonight's excellent Milan Mijatović.
Buducnost did not succeed, but it did not disappoint against a club from a much stronger league than the Montenegrin one. See you next summer and new European adventures.
