The guy who drew attention to himself last season with goals for Mladost DG - the weaker Meridianbet team of the First Montenegrin Football League - started shaking the nets in the city of the great Hristo Stoičkov... And that in European matches.
The young Montenegrin footballer Aleksa Maraš brought victory to his Botev from Plovdiv against Zrinjski (2:1) in the first match of the 3rd round of qualification for the Conference League - only ten minutes after entering the game.
It was his first goal for the "Canaries" - great, after one of the visitors' defenders made a mistake, Maraš "knocked out" two guards with a great fake and knocked the ball into the net.
"It's a great feeling to score a goal in such a game, in the Conference League. We were the better team and we deservedly celebrated," Maraš said after the game, as reported by "Sportal.bg".
The attacker, who scored 14 goals in the Montenegrin league last season, knows that nothing has been decided yet and that his team will face a difficult task in Mostar.
"We are invincible with our fans, we play very hard, but this is only the first half - in seven days we have the second half. We are going there to finish the job and qualify for the next round," Maraš added.
