Argentinian football player Julián Alvarez is the new reinforcement of Athletic from Madrid, to which he comes from Manchester City, the Spanish club announced today on its website.
Alvares signed a six-year contract with Atlético, and the media reports that the English club was paid around 75 million euros.
The Argentine grew up in River Plata, for which he played 2018 matches from 2022 to 122 and scored 54 goals and 31 assists in all competitions.
Moving to Manchester City in 2022, the English club cost a little more than 21 million euros, and during two seasons of appearances for "Citizens", he made 103 appearances, 36 goals and 18 assists.
Alvares, who can play in several positions in the attack, also made 36 appearances for the Argentine national team, in which he scored nine goals.
