Argentine coach, Mauricio Pochettino, has been officially appointed as the head coach of the USA soccer team.
Details of the cooperation were not disclosed by the USA Federation, but the American media wrote that Pochettino signed the contract until the end of the World Cup in 2026.
"The decision to take over the American national team was not only because of football, but also because of the path this selection is on. Energy, passion and hunger to achieve something truly historic here. Those are the things that inspired me. I see a group of players, who are full of talent and potential, and together we will build something special," said Pochettino.
The Argentine succeeded Greg Berhalter on the USA bench, who was fired after poor results at the Copa America.
