Jesse Lingard was once a great talent of Manchester United, an English representative.
Now he plays in South Korea, in Seoul, far from the eyes of the European public.
And none of the four goals he scored this season attracted nearly as much attention as today's news - that he was fined for riding an electric scooter on the streets of Seoul without a license or helmet.
Lingard also received a fine of 128 euros.
The footballer wrote on Instagram that he was not familiar with South Korea's regulations on electric scooters, including the obligation to wear a helmet. "Anyone visiting South Korea should obviously check the rules. It can be dangerous. Safety first, for everyone - wearing a helmet. And of course I won't be doing that again," wrote the 31-year-old Englishman.
According to British media, Lingard was banned from driving for 18 months last year after being caught drink-driving in Manchester.
Lingard joined Seoul in February this year, and he played 32 times for the English national team and scored six goals.
