Partizan football coach Aleksandar Stanojević said after the defeat against Crvena Zvezda that it was the hardest defeat in his career and that he apologizes to every Partizan fan.
"I apologize to every fan of Partizan, I apologize for allowing us to lose like this. Without 'blood', without anything. Zvezda showed class, and I take responsibility, this is the hardest defeat in my career," Stanojević said at the press conference after the match.
Today, Partizan was defeated at home by Crvena zvezda 0:4, in the ninth round of the Serbian Super League.
Stanojević appeared at the press conference with plasters on his head, after he was injured by glass after disgruntled fans broke the dressing room window.
"Disgruntled fans broke the glass, it's an unpleasant situation, but I wouldn't want to make a theater out of it. If the result had been a draw, I wouldn't have come to the conference. The situation is different and that's why I came. There was no fight, no physical conflict," Stanojević said. .
During the match, Partizan fans demanded his resignation.
"I'm here, we'll see what happens. The responsibility is mine and I'm ready to take it. It's fine to chant 'Stanoja, leave', but if I'm chanted 'Stanoja, you've sold yourself'... We'll see about this first, that's the least of the problems. I left when I won 98 points... But I sold myself to whom?" said Stanojević.
