The renovated Dečić stadium in Tuzi was officially opened tonight, ahead of the derby of the 9th round of the Meridian 1st Montenegrin football league between Dećić Admiralbet and Budućnost, which started at 19 p.m.
The modern tribune has a capacity of 1.080 seats, and within it are all the rooms necessary for the organization of matches - new dressing rooms for teams and officials, outpatient room, VIP lounge, press room...
As stated, as part of the project, a new field with a natural surface and a new auxiliary field with an artificial surface were built.
The investment was jointly financed by FSCG and the municipality of Tuzi.
The stadium was officially opened by FSCG President Dejan Savićević, Dečić President Paljo Drešaj, Tuzi Municipality President Lindon Đeljaj and Nik Đeljošaj, Minister of Economic Development in the Government of Montenegro.
"Today we are opening another modern and beautiful facility, the stand of the Dečić stadium, a club that has always been recognized for its talented players. The new stand, a new grass surface on the main and an auxiliary field with an artificial surface in Tuzi are proof that the Football Association is dedicated to the development of infrastructure in all parts of the country. Our goal was to, in cooperation with the Municipality of Tuzi, ensure that the coming generations get adequate conditions for training and matches, and I hope that they will show their talent in the best possible way", said the president of FSCG Savicevic.
The importance of this project was highlighted by Paljo Drešaj, director of FK Dečić.
"This is a very special and important day for sports and football in Tuzi. For many years, we have used a stadium that was ripe for reconstruction a long time ago. However, with the help of the Football Association of Montenegro and the Municipality of Tuzi, we built a stadium that can serve us with pride, our municipality and the club deserved it. I hope that together with our fans we will celebrate many trophies in this stadium," said Drešaj.
