The footballers of Budućnosti played very well in the first round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin League, in nine games they recorded seven wins, with two draws, they conceded only three goals, so they have already moved away from the competition.
Ivan Brnović's team has six points more than Petrovac (both teams have a match less than the other teams in the league), and seven more than the current champion, Dečić AdmiralBeta.
In the next round, which is scheduled for tomorrow, and which is the last one before the representative break, Ivan Brnović's team will play in Nikšić (19 p.m.) against Sutjeska, which is in seventh place with 13 points. Buducnost did not lose to Sutjeska in three years, more precisely in 14 matches.
"The derby is always unknown and uncertain. Current form is not important, nor is the state of the table. In the derby, new players appear, individual inspiration comes. There are motives, because of the pitch, because of the crowd, we also hope for good weather, so in principle we expect a quality football performance. We started to play a little on good pitches - the last match in Tuzi, on a great pitch, we expect the same in Nikšić. As for us, there is no euphoria, we are cautious, there is a working atmosphere and we will continue like that "Budućnosti coach Ivan Brnović said at the start of the game.
Brnović also referred to Sutjeska, which was taken over by Milija Savović during the season.
"They changed and rejuvenated the team to a significant extent. Bearing in mind that it is Sutjeska, the second most renowned club in our country, it is again a matter of respect, it is a sign that they probably have the option to work for the long term. They showed certain oscillations when it comes to the result during these ten rounds, but they kept the game, in many matches they wondered, controlled... Sutjeska is playing well - a young, energetic team with a lot of energy, obviously they lack a little experience, but they make up for a lot of that with their desire, combativeness, aggressiveness, so I hope it will be a derby tailored to football connoisseurs," Brnović said.
The future, said Brnović, goes to victory.
"There is no big philosophy, we will play our game, the only question is in what way, whether we will change some details. We play openly and for a goal more, of course, when the opponent allows us to do so. We will go for victory, we have confidence, we are motivated, we have everything we need and we will do our best," Brnović said.
He also congratulated the Buducnosti youth team on their placement in the next round of Champions League qualification.
"I would like to congratulate our youngsters on their great success, passing to the next round of qualification for the Champions League. A wonderful night, to remember, great goals, great performance by our boys. Congratulations to the coaching staff and players. This is a big thing for our club, after for so many years, in recent history, at least when it comes to younger selections, certainly the greatest success," Brnović said.
