The NGO Football Montenegro announced that the Ministry of Sports and Youth confirmed the decision of the Sports Inspectorate, which allegedly found illegal actions in the preparation of the election for the president of the Football Association of Montenegro in 2021.
From this NGO, they also ask how the Ministry and on what basis could grant aid in the amount of 100.000 euros to the Football Association.
We transmit their announcement in full...
"NGO Football Montenegro which, with the help of a couple of enthusiasts, unfortunately, is the only one that seems to take care of the situation in the Football Association of Montenegro and constantly points to the violation of the Law on Sports, disrespect for the Decisions of the Administrative Court as well as the illegal self-elected leadership of the mentioned organization.
Who knows how many times from 2021 we will once again provide the public with an official document from the Ministry of Sports and Youth that confirms our allegations and the correctness of our fight for compliance with the Law in the state of Montenegro.
The complaint that FSCG submitted through its representative to the aforementioned Ministry on April 4, 2023, was resolved only on August 23, 2024. Exactly 16 months had to pass for the Ministry to react, i.e. made a decision that was clear even to a law school freshman.
With this decision, the Ministry confirmed the decision of the Sports Inspection, which found illegal actions in the preparation of the election for the president of the FSCG in 2021. We remind the public, who knows how many times, that due to the decision of the Sports Inspectorate that annulled the Electoral Assembly of the Association of Coaches FSCG - North, the Electoral Assembly of the Association of Clubs - North was also annulled, because the same association is an active member of it, and that as a result of all this, it is the same that Sports Inspection banned the holding of the election assembly of the FSCG, which was scheduled for June 30, 2021, until the legal deficiencies are removed.
Should we mention to the public, lawyers, and the state of Montenegro that Dejan Savićević, despite the ban by the state authorities, maintained it and elected himself? From July 5, 2023 (when his mandate expired), that person illegally presents himself as the president of the FSCG, signs and uses the seal of the mentioned organization.
First, the Administrative Court of Montenegro confirmed the illegal activity, and now the Ministry of Sports and Youth has officially confirmed our allegations. In the current Law on Sports from 2018, the duty of the Ministry is clearly specified if the decisions of the Electoral Assembly of any sports association in Montenegro are not registered within the given period.
The question remains, if the Ministry of Sports and Youth in this decision referred to the decision of the Administrative Court, which was given much earlier, how the same Ministry and on what basis could it grant aid in the amount of 100.000 euros to the Football Association.
Is it possible that the state is unable to bring an individual who persistently violates the laws of that same state to the knowledge of the law?", reads the press release of the NGO Football Montenegro.
