The youth football team of Montenegro was defeated today in Shkodër by Albania (2:0) in another friendly match.
The home team won with goals from Jordi Jaku in the 42nd minute and Brian Đula in the 57th minute.
"These were two excellent tests against a strong selection of Albania, whose players mostly play for Italian clubs, and at the qualifying tournament in Greece next month, the selection of Italy is waiting for us. In today's match, the players who played less in the first match, changed we are the whole team and we have seen who we can count on in the qualifiers," coach Goran Perišić said after the match for the Association's website.
Albania won 3:2 in the first match, which was played three days ago.
"This match, unlike the first one, was much tougher, with fewer chances on both sides, while the conditions were far below par, and in those conditions Albania managed better and deservedly won. Preparations for the most important thing, the qualification in Greece, are already started and I hope that we will be complete for that tournament. We hope that once again with this generation we will be able to get through to the elite round and fight for the European Championship," said Perišić.
