The pioneering football team of Montenegro ended the UEFA Development Tournament in Poland with a triumph over Latvia (4:1).
"Sokolići" came to victory after a reversal, since Latvia led after a goal by Zahars Maligins. Luka Vušurović and Nikola Vukoje scored two goals for our selection.
"We entered the match a bit worse, and for the umpteenth time we conceded a goal after our corner. After that, we played better, attacked the opponent constantly and scored two goals before halftime, in addition to having several more chances to score. At the tournament, Montenegro defeated Luxembourg and lost to Poland.
"Even today, there were a lot of technical mistakes in all lines of the team, but we are only at the very beginning and such a set of circumstances is not surprising. In the end, this tournament showed us that with stronger teams like Poland, even the smallest mistake is punishable, and at the same time, you have to turn every opportunity into a goal, so that we can match such opponents, Ljumović said.
