Adam Marušić's Lazio celebrated against Twente in the Netherlands (2:0) for the third victory in the third round of the Europa League and the very top of the table, which consists of as many as 36 teams.
The duel at the "De Grolšp Veste" stadium was also marked by good refereeing by the best Montenegrin referee, Nikola Dabanović.
About twenty days after managing the Champions League match between Liverpool and Bologna at Anfield Road, where he also did a good job, Dabanović had to make some important decisions in the Netherlands, one in the early stages of the match.
In the 11th minute, namely, he showed a direct red card to the home goalkeeper Unerstal, who "mown down" Lazio striker Bulaje Adija outside the penalty area, who had a goal chance.
After a short consultation, the VAR room confirmed that the Montenegrin referee made the right decision, and the German goalkeeper did not have many objections either - he left the field in a sporting manner.

Lazio took the lead in the 35th minute through Pedro. In the action on the very edge, during the pass for assistant Vesin, the assistant Vladan Todorović signaled offside, but the VAR room showed that the offensive player of the guests and the last player of the defense of the home team were "in line!" - 1:0 for Lazio.

Despite the red card, the match in the first hour of the game was not difficult to judge, which is also shown by the fact that there were no yellow cards until then.
It was only in the 63rd minute that the home players "woke up", became more aggressive, and Dabanović showed them four public warnings in just nine minutes, including one to a player from the bench.
In the 74th minute, Dabanović awarded a penalty for Lazio, in a duel that was also on the verge, but after a long consultation with VAR and a review of the video, he decided to change the decision, although the dilemma remained whether the player was a Twente defender with the ball also hooked the knee of the football player of the visiting team.
The home fans were also looking for offside for Lazio's second goal, which was scored by Isaksen in the 87th minute, but there was no dilemma - regular situation for 0:2.
