Ruben Amorim is the new coach of Manchester United - now it's official, and the date when he starts working at "Old Trafford" is also known.
The Portuguese expert signed a three-year contract with the English giant, and his first working day in Manchester will be November 11, the club from the "Theater of Dreams" announced.
All this means that Amorim will make his debut after a break due to national team commitments, on November 24 against Ipswich away - until then, the team will be led by Ruud van Nissterloj, almost assistant Erik ten Haag.
United paid 11 million to Amorim's former club Sporting, and the contract has an option to extend it beyond 2027.
The Portuguese will be the tenth (permanent and temporary) manager of the "red devils" since 2013, when the coach with the most trophies in the history of the club, Sir Alex Ferguson, retired from the bench.
The first was David Moyes, and after him Ryan Giggs, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Haack and now Van Nisterloj took turns.
The most successful was the "special" Portuguese who brought three trophies to "Old Trafford" - the Europa League, the League Cup and the English Super Cup.
Can Mourinho's compatriot, who was the champion of Portugal twice with Sporting, be "special" for the stumbling giant?
