Verona took the lead through Kasper Tengstedt in the 13th minute, and Matijas Sule equalized the score in the 28th minute.
The home team regained the lead by halftime, as Djandjakomo Manjani scored in the 34th minute.
Ukrainian football player Artem Dovbik scored a new equalizer for Roma in the 53rd minute, and Verona reached all three points in the 88th minute with a goal by Abdu Harui.
At the end of the match, the home team player Dailon Livramento received a red card.
Roma is in 11th place in Serie A with 13 points, while Verona is 12th with a point less.
In the next round, Roma welcomes Bologna, and Verona visits Fiorentina.
