The Budućnosti footballers' appearance on the European stage this season ended in the second round of qualification for the Youth Champions League.
Buducnost was defeated by Trabzonspor 5:2 tonight in Podgorica, in the return match. The Turkish representative also won the first match at the Senol Gunes Stadium in Trabzon with a score of 3:1.
The final outcome of the Podgorica duel does not show a realistic picture of what was shown at the City Stadium, because Budućnost showed good football and was dominant in the first half.
The home team had five saves when the score was 1:0, and the Turkish goalkeeper finished the first half with ten saves.
The talents of Budućnosti did not last in the second half, fatigue took its toll and four players who played for the first team yesterday against Igal (Bulatović, Tomašević, Kostić, Savović) were replaced at the beginning of the second half.
They were also weakened, because Đukanović was injured while playing for the first team yesterday.
Buducnost took the lead with a goal by Danilo Vukanić in the 32nd minute. Jigit Kemal Turan equalized in the 45th minute, and Poiraz Jıldırım gave the visitors the lead in the 48th minute.
He was the scorer of goals in the 49th and 63rd, while Onuralp Ćakıroglu made it 5:1 in the 82nd minute. The final result was set by Vukanić in the 85th minute.
At the start of the qualification, Fuducnost was eliminated by Dinamo from Tbilisi, while Trabzonspor was free.
